  • Dr. Michele Tana was recently awarded an Outstanding Mentorship Award from the Pathways to Discovery Board of Directors for her involvement in the Summer Explore Program of the UCSF School of Medicine Bridges Curriculum.
  • Dr. Monika Sarkar and her research team received the UCSF K Scholar's Team Science Award to study contraception and family planning practices in liver transplant recipients.
  • Dr. Michele M. Tana and colleagues received the 2017 AASLD Autoimmune Liver Diseases Pilot Research Award.

Our fellows won the GI Jeopardy contest at the American College of Gastroenterology! Vivek Rudrapatna and Giuseppe Cullaro made up the team. This was a nationwide jeopardy contest amongst GI fellowship programs.
