Dr. Ma Somsouk has been awarded two Centers for Disease Control and Prevention grants and one from the American College of Gastroenterology. The grants focus on improving colorectal cancer screening in the safety-net and examining fecal transplantation in HIV-infected individuals.
Dr. Jennifer Lai has received a K23 from the NIA and been named an NIA Beeson Scholar to conduct the Functional Status Assessments in Liver Transplantation (FrAILT) Study.
Dr. Kenneth R. McQuaid has been appointed the Chief of the Medical Service at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center (SFVAMC) and Vice Chair of the UCSF Department of Medicine.
